Committee Reports for meeting 16th October
BDC have tonight published the committee report for the meeting on the 16th and included amended charges for the "repair" work and annual charges.
The comments below assume the committee approve the recommendations.
From a quick study the estimated cost per household has significantly reduced on some schemes but have been exceeded on three - however as promised these have been capped.
The proposed annual charge estimate has only changed to reflect the extra properties they have "found".
There is no 15 year forward plan as requested and no mention of this request in the report.
From a check on the original work proposed for Chetton and the tender that has been costed a significant amount has been removed - hence perhaps the reduced cost. However as there is no planned maintenance programme published we cannot tell whether this work has not simply been shuffled to a future year. I have requested under the freedom of information act details of work carried out at Chetton for the last 30 or so years, but even though it is over the maximum 20 days to reply these details have not been forthcoming. One can only wonder why!
I shall analyse this data over the weekend and publish my thoughts here. Copies of the documents are available here http://tinyurl.com/hs5zn.
Please remember that the deadline for questions to be asked at the committee meeting in Thursday 12th at 12 noon.
